Fresh Fruit and Yogurt Tart
A healthy, granola crusted tart filled with plain Maia yogurt and fresh fruit.
Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 12 minutes Servings: 3-4 people
Ingredients:
- 2 cups whole rolled oats
- 2 cups fresh fruit of your choice
- 2 containers (12 ounces) of Maia plain yogurt
- 1/3 cup coconut flakes
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
- 1/3 cup pine nuts
- 1/8 cup sesame seeds
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp. wheat germ
- 1/8 cup coconut oil
- 1/8 cup maple syrup
- 1/8 cup honey
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- To make granola crust from scratch, add all ingredients to a food processor (minus the fresh fruit and the yogurt) and blend until the crumbs are the size of small grains. If using pre-packaged granola, put that into the food processor.
- Thoroughly spray 3 or 4 ramekin bowls, or other tart size pans, with non-stick cooking spray.
- Firmly press about 1/4 or 1/3 cup of the crumbs against the sides of each bowl.
- Cook crusts for 12 minutes and then allow the crusts to cool overnight.
- Fill each crust to the top with plain Maia yogurt.
- Top the tarts with freshly cut fruit.
